Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Policy Statement

Lexford International University ("LIU") is committed to fairness, transparency, and ethical academic practices. This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all learners enrolling in Certificate Programs, Diploma Programs, Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees, and Doctoral Programs, delivered through online and blended learning modes.

By submitting an application and making any payment to LIU, the applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.

This policy is designed in alignment with international best practices for online and distance education and does not limit any statutory rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.

2. Application & Registration Fees

The following fees cover administrative and processing costs and are subject to the terms below:

  • Application Fee: Non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Registration / Enrollment Fee: Non-refundable after the cooling-off period.

Cooling-Off Period
LIU offers a 14 calendar day cooling-off period from the date of payment. During this period, students may request cancellation subject to the terms outlined in this policy.

3. Tuition Fee Refund Schedule (Degree & Diploma Programs)

Tuition fee refunds are calculated based on the date a formal withdrawal request is received relative to the official program intake start date.

1–14 days before program start 50% of tuition fee
On or after program start date No refund, except where required by applicable law

Administrative Charges
Administrative charges are fixed at USD 250 or 5% of the tuition fee (whichever is lower) and apply where a refund is issued.

4. Certificate & Short-Term Professional Programs

For Certificate, Executive Education, and Professional Development Programs (including CPD-aligned courses):

  • Withdrawal before program access is granted: 80% refund of tuition fee.
  • Withdrawal after program access is granted: No refund.

Due to the short duration and immediate resource allocation for certificate programs, refunds are limited once learning materials are released.

5. Visa Refusal (International Learners)

Lexford International University primarily operates as an online institution. Visa-related refunds apply only where a visa is required for optional on-site residencies, partner-campus activities, or country-specific study requirements, if applicable.

In the event of an official visa refusal:

  • A learner may be eligible for a tuition fee refund provided that:
    • An official visa refusal letter is submitted within 14 days of issuance.
    • The refusal is not due to fraudulent documentation or misrepresentation by the applicant.
  • Administrative processing fee: USD 200 will be deducted from the refundable amount.

Application and registration fees remain non-refundable.

6. How to Request a Refund

To initiate a cancellation or refund request, learners must:

  1. Complete the Withdrawal & Refund Request Form available in the Student Portal.
  2. Attach relevant supporting documents (e.g., visa refusal letter, medical documentation, or other required evidence).
  3. Submit the completed form via email to admissions@lexfordinternational.education.

Please note:

  • Verbal or informal requests will not be accepted.
  • Refunds are processed only after formal approval by the Academic & Finance Office.

7. Processing Timeline & Payment Method

  • Processing Time: Approved refunds are processed within 30–45 business days from the date of approval.
  • Method: Refunds are issued only to the original payment source (same bank account or credit card used for payment).
  • Currency: Refunds are processed in the original currency of payment. LIU is not responsible for exchange rate variations, intermediary bank fees, or payment gateway charges.

8. No Misrepresentation Clause

Lexford International University does not guarantee immigration outcomes, employment placement, professional licensing, or degree recognition by third-party authorities. Refunds will not be granted based on such outcomes.

9. Policy Amendments

LIU reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be published on the official website and apply prospectively.
